Adults get 2-2 1/2inch (5- 6.5 cm) long. Fore
coxae bear black-ringed spot beneath, which is lacking
in the Carolina Mantis and Chinese Mantis. In nature,
they hatch almost simultaneously in late spring.
M. religiosa mostly spends its time on foliage and
flowers.
Diet: Diurnal insects, Drosophila, houseflies,
crickets, flour worms, caterpillars, butterflies,
bees. The feed must be very diversified. To the
newly hatched larvae must be promptly offered Drosophila
flies.
